Welcome to my simple but hopefully informative and easily navigated site. The purpose and goal of Gothenburg Drone Photo is to promote my services in drone photography and filming and is 100% a side business for me and not my primary livelihood. However, it should not be confused with my commitment to what I do. This is my hobby, my passion and few of my interests are allowed to take so much space in my life. I have a "real" job during the day that also takes its time and which in no way should be on the side of my drone interest.
It is the balance between my regular profession and my interest and side profession as a drone photographer that enriches life and should one of these interests clash with the other, I will have to rethink. But right now they do not clash but only enrich each other.
In other words, I do not have this as my primary source of income but my income from this goes mostly to the development of the interest. I do not intend to charge more for work done than what I think is fair, but I also do not intend to dump the prices of the colleagues in the industry who actually have this as their way of life.
For me, it is important to be able to highlight talented colleagues in the industry and I am happy to involve others in collaborative projects when needed or recommend others when I can't or don't have the time myself.
Is it something my 49 years in life is to have respect for other professionals but you must never stop trying new things just because there are others who are more experienced and skilled. My goal is to become the best at drone photography and a first choice for those who want drone images and film for their album or production.
One of my biggest interests is photographing sailing, sailing is in my DNA. You could almost say that I was born on a sailboat but a father who both competed as a young man in different classes of sailboats and always had a keen interest in sailing. Now my father's interest in getting me to follow in his footsteps became a bit destructive as he made me resist rather than embrace sailing as a hobby and sport. It took me my teenage years to realize how much fun sailing is and what a sense of freedom it is to sail instead of getting around in a much faster way.
So the combination of my interest in sailboats, sailing and photography means that I love being where the sailors are with their boats. The best conditions are 8 - 13 m/s, sunny and a full day race that you can follow with your drones.
Now, my interest in photography is not locked to the sea and sailboats but I still like to find something beautiful in most things and capture most occasions and targets with my drones.
