Instagram dying? Long live the blog or?
I don't want to say that I have been uncommitted or a fanatic when it comes to getting followers and sharing content on Instagram, but I have actively worked on filling my account with new photographs and sometimes movies. In 2021, I went from 200-300 followers to 1200 followers at the turn of the year 21-22. After that, everything has just stopped. Not my work with the account but the stream of new followers. It almost feels like it doesn't matter if I have posted pictures or not, it simply stands still.
It definitely feels like Instagram is moving from a social media for sharing photos to becoming a competitor to TikTok.
I want to convey my pictures and not compete on how to make the coolest Reelsen. I will remain on Instagram but will put more energy into being visible in other media such as this blog where I can offer my motifs in much better quality than before.
I have also revived my old Twitter account and will try to post pictures there too.
Is Twitter only for audiences outside Sweden?
